Yoyo (pronounced your-your) and its cousin Shalapore refer to small fish (e.g. baby herring or whitebait) that is caught in the local body of Lagos waters. Yoyo is a healthy snack. It is high in protein, a good source of minerals (such as zinc, phosphorus, manganese and selenium), a good source of vitamins (such as Vitamin B12 and Niacin), and rich in mono-unsaturates; and polyunsaturated fatty acids, also known as omega-3 fatty acids.
The quarter bucket is ideal to stock-up as your week's supply of healthy seafood snacks.
